Lior Alkaly is the head of market research at eToro and advises on various subjects including hedging models, trading strategies and trading education, he is a regular contributor to the eToro blog. Lior started his career by working for several years as a risk analyst at a NASDAQ traded company where he pursued a conservative strategy amid the various underlying risks the company was exposed to, among them the FX market. He has more than seven years experience of forex trading and specializes in the fundamental analysis of Forex and precious metals.Lior focuses on conveying long term economic models as well as activity in the bond and money markets in simple analytical terms. His trading motto is that managing risks is as important to a trader’s strategy as understanding market trends.

Barbara Zigah is a multi-platform editor and writer specializing in business, finance and forex-related content. She has written and/or edited numerous books, e-books, blogs, journals and websites, and is a regular contributor to the eToro blog. Prior to becoming a writer she worked in the business domain for nearly two decades, from Wall Street to Washington, D.C.
As a banker with Lloyds Bank, Plc in New York, Barbara worked for four years in the bank’s European Division, which oversaw syndicated lending and deposit facilities for European multi-national companies including Siemens, Nestle, Cadbury-Schweppes, British Petroleum and BASF. She also worked for several years in L.P., a global asset management firm, Cowen & Company (now Cowen Group), and Wachovia Bank. Barbara graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics from the University of Maryland.
