U.S. indices fell on Tuesday as weak U.S. manufacturing data worried investors that U.S. economy is still struggling and thus also the global economy is slowing down. Even though the ECB’s president Mario Draghi stated that buying short-term sovereign debt does not breach any European Union rules trying to go give markets some confidence, the weak U.S. data overweighed Draghi’s statements and the European markets fell as well.
The DJ30 closed at 13,035.94, declining 54.90 points (-0.42%), SPX500 closed at 1,404.94, declining 1.64 points (-0.12%) and the NASDAQ closed at 2,772.03, declining 0.21 points
(-0.01%) in today’s trading.
The CAC40 closed at 3,399.04, declining 54.67 points (-1.58%), FTSE100 closed at 5,672.01, declining 86.40 points (-1.50%) and DAX40 closed at 6,932.58, declining 82.25 points (-1.17%).
Microsoft Inc. (MSFT) announced the general availability of the new Windows Server 2012. Satya Nadella, president of Microsoft Server and Tools Business said in his speech that Windows Server 2012 is a cornerstone of the Cloud OS and that it provides one consistent platform for private, hosted and as well public clouds.
