How Has the Human Element Influenced Social Networks?

There is no doubt that technology affects nearly every single person on the planet.  The growth of social networking technology has increased exponentially and it can be truly overwhelming.  New social networks, apps and gadgets continue to be created and the pace of development is only surpassed by the enormous amount of data that all of these innovations produce.  Everything that we connect with, follow, share and say is combined to generate important information that can enhance the experiences of customers with services and products.

Innovating the World of Social Networks

While the technological advancements of social networks are stunning, it would not be possible without the most important part of the equation – the human element.  The human element is essential to putting together and understanding the vast amount of information that we receive from social networks.  The innovation of social networks can only come from a person’s ability to recognize opportunities and apply them to the social world.  Humans are the only ones that can make sense of this data and describe it in a way that is both helpful and meaningful.

eToro: Embracing the Human Element

While many other social networks may not realize the importance of human capital, eToro makes a point to celebrate it.  At eToro, we understand that our traders are taking massive amounts of data and analyzing it in such a way that benefits everyone in the community.  This allows members of the community to both understand and capitalize on this information.  eToro is one of the first social networks to base our entire community on people in it.  All of the innovations in social network technology and all of the data received by networks are meaningless without the human element to evaluate and make sense of it all.  The human element is the only aspect of social networks that can influence true innovation.  Below is a video about eToro’s social investment network called OpenBook.

What do you think the role of the human element is in social networks?  What do you think the future innovations of social networks will be?  Please feel free to leave your questions and comments in the section below.

it is overwhelming sometimes. There is indeed a lot of data to analyze and good thing eToro has the capability of doing so while adding the human element of social media. This makes this all the while better

Hey brett! i think you pointed out what needs to be the goal of all social networking sites. it is to build a community that could help each other out! However, sadly, we sometimes forget that this is the case. Instead, we use it to blackmail, bully or pull each other down. Sad but true

Nel

yeah, unfortunately, that goal is not taken seriously.

Social networking sites has helped each and every user in almost every aspect in their lives. For example, businessmen have used social networking sites to advertise and market their products to hit their target market, so far, every business man i know has been succesful with this

i think each business that exists nowadays has a facebook page! and a twitter page, too! moreover, people use social networking sites in order to communicate with each other as well. Communication is an aspect we also use in all our money transactions. I'm sorry if it looks like it is all about the money but it really is
