U.S. indices rallied earlier today and S&P500 reached its four-year high. Nevertheless, stocks fell afterwards as the market couldn’t break the resistance and investors cashed recent gains. European markets rose being pushed up by renewed speculations the European Central Bank would intervene in the debt market in order to lower borrowing costs. Furthermore, euro jumped to seven-week high against the dollar.
The DJ30 closed at 13,203.58, declining 68.06 points (-0.51%), SPX500 closed at 1,413.17, declining 4.96 points (-0.35%) and the NASDAQ closed at 2,772.20, declining 12.13 points
(-0.44%) in today’s trading.
The CAC40 closed at 3,513.28, gaining 32.70 points (0.94%), FTSE100 closed at 5,857.52, gaining 33.15 points (0.57%) and DAX40 closed at 7,089.32, gaining 55.64 points
(0.79%).
Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) is going to release the new version of its operating system – Windows 8 on 26th October. Microsoft already began accepting orders for Windows 8 this week. It is said that Microsoft has designed the new Windows 8 in a way so it combines both traditional PC and tablet in order to response to the iPad’s popularity.
