Hi Everybody,

Riots on the streets of Athens did not surprise the markets yesterday. They’ve been rioting non-stop since 2008 with the level of violence rising and falling. Though lately it does seem to be rising.

The European Commission released this statement of encouragement to the Greek people and parliament.

One thing good that did come out of the summit so far is that the European Union will now appoint an official commissioner in charge of approving each state’s budget. This has been in discussion for almost half a year, so unlikely to move the markets very much.

On the other side of the pond, the US elections remain very close with the overall ratings of both candidates tied at 47%. However, counting the ‘Electoral College’ votes of each state is more important for the final result. At this point Mitt Romney will have to grab Iowa and Wisconsin if he is to achieve the 270 Electoral votes required to achieve presidency.

Trading remains technical coming into Friday. So keep your eyes on the 4 hour charts. Also check the Economic Calendar as there are a few items of importance there as well.

Let me know if you have any questions or require any assistance in your account. For questions about the market, please post on my Open Book page by clicking my name below.

Happy trading,

Mati Greenspan
