Trading Log

Upon entering the trading log you'll be presented with the following screen:

Trading Log

Here you can see all your trades presented in a number of ways in order to suit all your monitoring needs.

The central panel exhibits all your individual trades in all the trading arenas. This panel allows you to monitor your trades and close them by clicking on the ôcloseö button near the appropriate trade.

Let’s go through the various fields that comprise your trade info one by one:

  • Action – this field shows you which currency you are buying or selling against which currency
  • Amount – the amount you have invested in the trade
  • Units – the amount of units you have bought or sold. The standard minimum number of units is 10,000.
  • Open rate – the rate at which you have opened the trade.
  • Current – the current rate at which you can close the trade.
  • Stop loss – the rate at which the trade will be closed automatically by the platform in order to prevent you from losing more than you have specified or more that you have invested.
  • Take profit - unlike the stop loss limit, the take profit limit can only be set by the trader when setting up the trade. The take profit limit guarantees that if the trade reaches your desired level of profit, it will be capitalized upon.
  • Spread - the spread is the difference between the bid price and the ask price. Spreads are customarily represented in pips.
  • Profit – shows you the current unrealized profit from the trade.
  • Gain – shows you how much you have gained from the trade relatively to your investment in percentages.

The top panel represents your trades grouped and totaled by trading arena. By clicking on any one group, the relevant trades will be highlighted in the central panel.

The bottom panel displays the total current statistics of your account. Let’s go through the various fields that comprise your total account info one by one:

  • Balance – your total available balance, also shown in the bottom left corner of every screen.
  • Usable margin – the total margin that you can use for trading. This amount will be slightly smaller than the amount of your balance when you have open trades, in order to cover any possible losses in the unlikely case of extreme market conditions.
  • Total investment – the total amount you currently have invested in trades.
  • Virtual balance – the balance you would have were you to close all your trades at that moment.
  • Unrealized profit – the amount of profit you could incur were you to close all your trades at that moment.
  • Unrealized gain – the percentage of profit you could incur relatively to your total investment were you to close all your trades at that moment.

In addition, if you click on the “History” tab at the top of the screen, you can switch to view your historical trades in place of your active trades. The history screen is also reachable from the lobby, by clicking on the “History” button at the bottom right corner of the screen.

The history log displays all the trades that you have made in the past. By clicking on any one trade in the central panel you can see a detailed description of it in the panel below it. Use the “Prev” and “Next” buttons to scroll through your trading history.
