Does eToro accept US clients?
eToro is one of the world's most popular trading platforms, and in 2018 it opened its doors to the US market.
A gradual rollout is planned - we are now in the initial phase of the US launch, and only the Virtual Portfolio is available in some states.
As of August 2020, Real trading is available to US residents in: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Washington D.C., West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
Real trading is also available to residents of the Northern Mariana Islands and the United States Minor Outlying Islands.
For the moment, not all markets are available to trade and certain features are disabled. This is why you will see certain buttons grayed out (such as the option to open SELL trades) and will not be able to comment on the News Feed.
Please note: For regulatory reasons, we cannot provide our service to US citizens who reside outside the USA.
