Enjoy reading & investing! 🚀 📈 ʜᴏᴡ ᴍᴜᴄʜ ᴅᴏ ɪ ᴇᴀʀɴ ᴡʜᴇɴ ɪ ᴄᴏᴘʏ ʏᴏᴜ? Nobody can predict or guarantee profits 📉➡️📈. My personal goal is to achieve an average return of 10% per year. Since I started on eToro in August 2019, my average annual return is 9.11%, with a cumulative return of +57%. Returns come from dividends I receive for holding various stocks and, ideally, from rising share prices 📊. Historically, over the past decades (despite wars and crises), stock markets have gained around 7% annually. The longer you stay invested without selling, the lower the risk of losses, as in the long term, markets tend to move upwards 🔼. 💸 ᴡʜᴇɴ ᴅᴏ ɪ ʀᴇᴄᴇɪᴠᴇ ᴅɪᴠɪᴅᴇɴᴅꜱ? To receive dividends, you must buy a stock before the ex-dividend date 📆. This is the date when a stock starts trading without the dividend right. Typically, the ex-date is around one month before the payment date. Most European stocks pay dividends only once per year, usually the day after the Annual General Meeting (AGM) 🏛️. 🏦 ᴡʜᴇʀᴇ ᴅᴏ ɪ ʀᴇᴄᴇɪᴠᴇ ᴛʜᴇ ᴅɪᴠɪᴅᴇɴᴅ ᴘᴀʏᴍᴇɴᴛꜱ? If you are eligible, dividends will be automatically credited to your available cash balance on eToro 💵. However, if you're copying someone, the dividend is not added to your available funds. Instead, it is reinvested into the copy 🪙. Don't worry – the money is still yours. This ensures your copy stays in sync with the portfolio of the person you are copying 🔁. 🔍 ʜᴏᴡ ᴄᴀɴ ɪ ᴄʜᴇᴄᴋ ɪꜰ ɪ ʀᴇᴄᴇɪᴠᴇᴅ ᴅɪᴠɪᴅᴇɴᴅꜱ? You can check this by following these steps (a graphic is attached as well 🖼️): 1. Go to your Portfolio. 2. Click on “Portfolio” or the arrow next to it. 3. Select History. 4. Tap the gear icon ⚙️ and choose Account Statement. 5. Select the time period you'd like to review. 6. Click Create. 7. In the statement, click on Dividends to view the payments made to your available balance. 👉 Note: You can only generate a statement up to 1 day ago, so today’s dividends will be visible tomorrow. 👥 ʜᴏᴡ ᴄᴀɴ ɪ ᴄᴏᴘʏ ʏᴏᴜ? I recommend at least $500 – this is the minimum needed to copy my portfolio 1:1. Copying with less may lead to differences in allocation and weaker performance ⚠️. 📊 ᴡʜʏ ᴅɪᴅɴ’ᴛ ɪ ᴄᴏᴘʏ ᴀʟʟ ᴘᴏꜱɪᴛɪᴏɴꜱ? eToro has a minimum trade size of $1 for copy trades. That’s why I always recommend copying with at least $500 💡. Example: If I invest 0.35% of my capital in $BTC, and you're copying me with $500, your position will be $1.75, which meets the minimum 👍. If you copy me with $200, your BTC investment would only be $0.70, which is below the minimum, so that trade won’t be executed ❌.
