What is the total balance required?<\/dt>
\n

The total balance required is what determines the rate that you will receive. It is the total realised equity in your account, including invested funds and available cash balance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note that the rate you will receive is determined by your total balance required. This rate is applied to the available USD cash balance only.<\/p>\n<\/dd><\/div>\n\n\n\n

What is the available USD cash balance?<\/dt>
\n

The available USD cash balance consists of uninvested funds currently in a client\u2019s trading account, and is the amount on which returns are calculated.<\/p>\n<\/dd><\/div>\n\n\n\n

How do I qualify?<\/dt>
\n

You will be entitled to earn returns in accordance with your Club tier, as per the available cash balance, calculated daily and paid monthly.<\/p>\n<\/dd><\/div>\n\n\n\n

How do I activate eToro USD Cash+ in my account?<\/dt>
\n

1. Log in<\/a> to your eToro account. (Don\u2019t have an account yet? Sign up here<\/a>.) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Make sure that you have the total balance required in your account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Go to the eToro Club Dashboard<\/a>. Scroll down to \u201ceToro USD Cash+,\u201d then switch from \u201cDisabled\u201d to \u201cActive.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/dd><\/div>\n\n\n\n

How and when are the returns calculated?<\/dt>
\n

Although the rate is annualised, it is calculated daily and paid monthly. Each day, the balance eligible to earn returns is calculated. This amount is multiplied by the daily rate (which is the annual rate divided by 365 or 366). At the end of each month, the cumulative returns are totalled and then paid automatically no later than the 5th business day of the following month.<\/p>\n<\/dd><\/div>\n\n\n\n

When are the returns added to my account?<\/dt>
\n

Payment is made automatically no later than the 5th business day of the following month, before 12 noon (GMT +8).<\/p>\n<\/dd><\/div>\n\n\n\n

What is the minimum amount for payment?<\/dt>
\n

The minimum amount required for payment is $0.01. <\/p>\n<\/dd><\/div>\n\n\n\n

If I activate eToro USD Cash+ sometime mid-month, will the returns be calculated for that entire month?<\/dt>
\n

No. Returns are earned from the day the user opts in, provided they continue to be eligible and maintain the total balance required to receive the payment.<\/p>\n<\/dd><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Will I have to pay taxes on the returns I receive?<\/dt>
\n

Currently, no taxes are applied to the returns received through eToro USD Cash+. Please note that this may change in line with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n<\/dd><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Do I have to pay any fees?<\/dt>
\n

No additional charges apply in relation to eToro USD Cash+ payments.<\/p>\n<\/dd><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Are my funds safeguarded?<\/dt>
\n

As a regulated company we are required to safeguard your funds in accordance with specific client money rules. eToro (Europe) Ltd is a member of the Investor Compensation Fund (ICF<\/a>), which compensates investors only up to twenty thousand EUR. Additionally, in certain cases your funds deposited in eligible European banks are backed by the Deposit Guaranteed Scheme (DGS<\/a>). The DGS has a maximum payout limit of up to EUR 100.000 \/ GBP 85.000 per depositor, per bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

eToro (UK) Ltd is covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). FSCS investment protection may apply up to \u00a385,000 per eligible client (per firm) if eToro (UK) Ltd is declared in default and there is a shortfall in custody assets and\/or client money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where client cash is held with third-party banks, deposit protection may apply up to \u00a3120,000 per eligible client, per authorised firm (subject to eligibility and the relevant client money\/CASS arrangements). Deposit protection does not apply to cash held in qualifying money market funds (QMMFs), as these are investments rather than bank deposits.<\/p>\n<\/dd><\/div>\n\n\n\n
