In fact, some traders may argue that a test of the ETF\u2019s 50-day moving average would be healthy after several months of trading above that measure. If support fails \u2014 both at the uptrend line and the 50-day \u2014 additional downside momentum could develop. However, if these levels hold and buoy GLD, bulls may look for a rebound in 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Options<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As of December 30th, the options with the highest open interest for GLD stock \u2014 meaning the contracts with the largest open positions in the options market \u2014 were the January $420 calls, followed by the January 30th $425 calls and the January $435 calls.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Investors who are bullish could consider calls or call spreads as one way to speculate on further upside, while bearish investors could consider puts or put spreads to speculate on a further move to the downside.
