Il vero rendimento non è quello che fai in un anno. È quello che riesci a ripetere nel tempo.
Il mio portafoglio su eToro ha un punteggio di rischio di appena 4/10.
Molti vedono solo un numero.
Io ci vedo la conferma di una caratteristica che considero molto più importante dei rendimenti di breve periodo:
la coerenza.
Da sempre il mio punteggio di rischio rimane praticamente invariato.
Questo significa che non inseguo il titolo del momento.
Non cambio strategia ogni volta che il mercato cambia umore.
E non ricostruisco il portafoglio da zero dopo ogni rialzo o ribasso.
La mia strategia è la stessa.
Ed è pensata per il lungo periodo.
Sì, quest’anno il rendimento non è stato tra i più elevati della piattaforma.
E non ho alcun problema ad ammetterlo.
Perché il mio obiettivo non è vincere la classifica di un singolo anno.
Il mio obiettivo è costruire un portafoglio capace di crescere negli anni.
In questi mesi ho continuato ad accumulare sulle aziende e sui settori in cui credo maggiormente, mantenendo la stessa disciplina che mi accompagna fin dall’inizio.
C’è poi un aspetto di cui si parla pochissimo.
Quando valutate un investitore, non fermatevi al rendimento.
Guardate come quel rendimento è stato ottenuto.
Può capitare di vedere profili che oggi mostrano un punteggio di rischio basso perché, dopo aver ottenuto ottimi rendimenti assumendo rischi molto elevati, hanno completamente modificato la composizione del portafoglio.
Il rischio che vedete oggi potrebbe quindi non rappresentare quello che ha realmente generato le performance passate.
Nel mio caso è diverso.
Il rischio 4 non è arrivato dopo aver cambiato strategia.
È la conseguenza della strategia.
L’ho mantenuto nel tempo perché ho mantenuto la stessa filosofia d’investimento.
Per me questo significa offrire qualcosa di molto più importante di un rendimento eccezionale in un singolo anno:
continuità.
Troverete sicuramente portafogli che hanno fatto meglio del mio.
Ma spesso hanno anche affrontato una volatilità molto più elevata.
E chi decide di copiarli nel momento sbagliato potrebbe ritrovarsi a vivere ribassi violenti e cambi di strategia inaspettati.
È anche per questo che credo sia importante valutare non solo quanto rende un portafoglio, ma quanto è coerente nel tempo.
Per chi costruisce un investimento graduale, magari con un PAC mensile, affidarsi ad una strategia stabile e disciplinata può avere molto più valore di inseguire il rendimento più alto del momento.
Io continuerò a fare quello che ho sempre fatto.
Studiare.
Accumulare.
Restare coerente.
Perché i mercati premiano chi riesce a mantenere una strategia quando farlo diventa difficile.
