Asana Inc. is an application software company specialising in task management solutions. Its platform enables teams to allocate tasks, set deadlines, and monitor the progression of each project. Founded in 2008 the company is headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area of Silicon Valley, USA. In addition to San Francisco and New York, Asana has other offices worldwide.

The company’s platform includes e-mail integration. A facility that permits team members to share their contributions to the overall task, assign different work components to colleagues, comment on each other’s ideas, and add attachments. Asana launched an additional “Dashboards” feature in September 2020 that provides multiple customisable charts. They automatically populate with new project developments in real-time, including pinpointing overdue work and stress-points such as an overworked colleague.

In August 2020, Asana Inc filed to become a publicly-traded company by September of that year via the recently launched direct listing process. It’s listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker ASAN. The company was valued at $1.5 billion in November 2018. According to PitchBook, it had raised total funding of $213.5 million as of August 2020.
