Through its Mobility Coatings segment, the company provides coating technologies to original equipment manufacturers (OEM) of light and commercial vehicles. The company offers a range of specially formulated solvent-borne and water-borne products and systems that are used within the global automotive refinish industry to repair damaged vehicles. The company's Performance Coatings segment supplies powder and liquid coatings solutions to a wide range of clients in various industrial applications.

The company offers its industrial products under the AquaEC, Ceranamel, Durapon, Hydropon, Tufcote, UNRIVALED, and Voltatex brands for liquid coatings and Alesta, Abcite, Nap-Gard, and Plascoat brands for powder coatings. On 15 September 2021, Axalta announced that it had acquired U-POL Holdings Limited, a supplier of accessories, paint, and protective coatings primarily for the automotive aftermarket.
