Energy Transfer LP is an energy company operating within the United States. The company owns and manages a diversified portfolio of energy assets with a strategic footprint in all of the major domestic production basins. Founded in 1996, Energy Transfer has its headquarters in Dallas, Texas.
Formerly known as Energy Transfer Equity, L.P., the company changed its name to Energy Transfer LP in October 2018. The company's core operations include natural gas midstream and intrastate transportation and storage assets; crude oil, natural gas liquids (NGL) and refined product transportation and terminalling services; and NGL storage and fractionation services.
Stock for Energy Transfer is listed on the NYSE under the ticker ET. The company also owns Lake Charles LNG Company, in addition to the general partner interests, the incentive distribution rights, and 28.5 million common units of Sunoco LP, and the general partner interests and 46.1 million common units of USA Compression Partners, LP. On 2 December, 2021, Energy Transfer announced the completion of its merger with Enable Midstream Partners, LP. Enable's stock is no longer available as of 3 December, 2021 as a result of the acquisition.
