About Iamgold Corp
Insurance Australia Group Ltd is a multinational insurance company headquartered in Sydney that was founded in 2000. In March 2022, AIG was the largest general insurance company operating in the Australian and New Zealand market. Some of the brands under which IAG sells insurance in Australia include NRMA Insurance, CGU, SGIO, SGIC, Swann Insurance, WFI, and Poncho Insurance. In the New Zealand market, IAG sells under the brand names NZI, state, AMI, and Lumley Insurance. Also, IAG has expanded into Malaysia and India through joint ventures.
Although IAG itself is not a customer-facing brand, it is an umbrella organisation that provides a range of personal and commercial insurance products. They mainly include motor vehicle and home insurance. As of March 2022, it employs approximately 10,001 members of staff in its company.
In recent years IAG has expanded operations to Asia, including Thailand (Safety and NZI), Vietnam (AAA Insurance), and Indonesia (Asuransi Parolamas), as well as joint venture partnerships in Malaysia and India. Insurance Australia Group Ltd trades under the IAG ticker on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX).
