SEMrush, a software specialist, focuses on online visibility management and content marketing through its SaaS (software-as-a-service) platform. The company was founded in 2008 and is based in Massachusetts in the United States. Operating internationally, SEMrush runs seven offices in the United States and Europe and provides services across the globe in countries such as the United Kingdom, Italy, Australia, and Canada.
The company aims to provide customers with the online marketing tools to successfully compete in the virtual arena by increasing online visibility. SEMrush offers customers a variety of marketing software operations such as website monetisation, competitor PR monitoring, competitor SEO analysis and keyword research. Since its founding, the company’s SaaS platform enabled more than seven million marketers to date. These tools help to identify growth opportunities, track online visibility and improve the efficacy of digital marketing.
SEMrush announced its terms for an initial public offering in March 2021. On debut, they sold 10 million shares priced at $14 per share, the bottom of their expected range. They raised $140m from the IPO. The company trades on the NYSE under the SEMR stock ticker.
