TF1 Group is a media holding company, based in Boulogne-Billancourt, France. The company owns the channel TF1, one of Europe’s largest television channels. The channel was owned by the French government until 1987. TF1 Group owns several television channels, advertising agencies and internet properties. The majority stakeholder of the TF1 Group is French conglomerate Bouygues.
TF1 Group is traded on the Euronext Paris as TFI.PA. In addition, TF1 is part of the CAC Mid 60, an index comprised of the 60 largest French companies following companies on the CAC 40 and CAC Next 20. TF1 Group parent company, Bouygues, is also traded on the Euronext Paris, with the stock symbol EPA.EN.
The TF1 Group has purchased and sold several television channels and media properties over the last several years. The media company sold its interest in the popular channel Eurosport to Discovery Communications in 2015. TF1 Group owns LCI, TFX, and TF1 International, in addition to its flagship channel TF1.
