Hello everyone, as promised here's a more detailed analysis of our positions as well as a little outlook. General At the moment about 84% of our capital is invested and 16% is free cash and I plan to keep this value in the long run in a range between 85:15 and 75:25. About 45% is invested in unleveraged stock positions. Part of this is tech-sector stocks, which will either suffer only marginally from a possible expansion of the trade war or have generally good prospects. The other part consists of stocks that either pay a good dividend or are currently undervalued. The higher proportion of unlevered shares is explained by the high volatility and uncertainty in the markets, which I would like to counteract through these positions with a lower risk score. In the medium term, I will probably keep the risk score at this level until the situation calms down a bit or there is a clearer trend. Positions In the medium term, natgas price development highly depends on the coming demand in the summer months. Here, the forecasts indicate higher temperatures on the east and west coasts. This, coupled with the increased use of air conditioning systems and the steadily increasing share of natural gas in the power generation in the US could lead to higher demand and thus stabilize the price. But in the short term, prices could easily fall to $ 2 or lower. Lately USDRUB showed relative strength despite global uncertainty and falling oil prices. Should the oil price rise again further price gains of the ruble are possible. The Bayer stock already has a huge amount of risks priced in at the current price, this leads to a currently extremely low price-earnings ratio. With a constant dividend, a very high return could be possible here. When they find a agreement with the plaintiffs, most investors should return attention to the fundamentals, which are quite good, according to the recent quarterly figures. NSDQ100 has so far developed exactly as predicted in December/January. The dovish attitude of the FED sent it in the direction and slightly above the last all-time high, untill Trump dissolved the over-bought situation with his tweets and initiated the correction. Securing our portfolio with the NSDQ100 positions allowed us to take advantage of this temporary rise without risk and to make nice profits with the stocks bought during the last correction. The current rise could lift prices to a similar level again, but in the medium term I do not see any scope for further price gains, as the sentiment of the economy worldwide shows clear signs of weakness even before the beginning of the trade war. Also, many central banks, such as the ECB has little to no opportunity to significantly revive the economy. Wow, this post has become quite long. I hope some of you read it till the end and found it a little helpful. I wish everyone a great week and many green trades. FabianMarco ... Show More

Hello everyone, here's another Q & A post like promised. *Information to a webinar with me at the bottom* What's the minimum amount to copy? There is none (except the 200$ set by eToro). I know guys that started copying me with these 200$ and they never mentioned any problems with copying all my trades. In percentage terms, the profit is the same whether you copy me with 200 or 20.000 Dollar. For a long-term asset accumulation, however, I would recommend either to start with a higher amount or regularly add smaller amounts if that is possible for you. Similar to a savings plan, these deposits could accumulate a substantial amount of money along with the profits over time. What copy stop loss do you recommend? Since I'm a low risk trader it should be perfectly fine to set the copy stop loss to 80%. My highest yearly drawdown was around 15% so far (with a slightly higer risk score). So you should be safe with that 80%. When is the perfect moment to start copying? There is no perfect moment for that. Since I'm a long-term trader and planning to make steady profits in the future, it doesn't really matter when you start copying. In the long run the difference in performance will be quite small. However, if you are mainy interested in short to mid-term results it could be an advantage to use a temporary drawdown, like the one right now. But like I said the difference would be quite low in a long term view. What do you plan with your Natgas positions? The Natgas Positions are my high risk positions (if that's the right descriptions for positions with a leverage of only 2). That's because Natgas price is highly volatile and it is hard to predict in which direction it is heading. Right now, the fee structure changed a little bit earlier then I expected, so that we now have to pay for holding them open. But I'm still quite sure that it will be worth it to hold them just a little bit longer, since winter is still not over and I think that we will see a little run to the 3 area again. Especially since the gas storage is still 17.5% below the 5 year's average and probably will be even lower next week. At the end I want to inform you about a webinar, that will take place this tuesday. In a 30-minute interview, you will learn a little more about me, my strategy and my views on current market events. You are welcome to join. etoro.tw/2IdwtT4 ... Show More

Dear follower, visitors and (new) copiers, eToro wants every popular investor to have an introducing post with informations about themself/trading style/goals and some recommendations. Actually that’s quite rudimental stuff and I have no clue why I don’t have one already :D So here's mine. I hope you like it and it is helpful for you. Should you have additional questions, please don‘t hesitate to ask me in a separate message. I recommend to read this post completely, especially when you are a new trader. Thank you in advance. With kind regards FabianMarco. A little bit about myself 1.) Who are you / where do you live? My name is Fabian Marco, I am 29 years old and I celebrated my 5-year anniversary on eToro in December 2018. At the moment I live together with my wife Rebekka in a medium-sized city in the southwest of Germany. 2.) What do you do for living? I study chemistry at the university and work part-time at the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems. My remaining time is devoted to analyzing the market, reading business news and trading in general. 3.) Did you have previous experience with financial investments before joining eToro? I wanted to buy my first stock (Infineon) when I was 13. Since then, I've been fascinated by the stock market and been trying to improve my strategy. 4.) Your Hobbies? My main hobby is indeed trading. But then my second passion is science, especially chemistry. More about me in my blogpost or in the webinar (german only). Links below. Trading Strategy: 1.) Which markets/intruments you trade? I trade nearly everything except cryptos :D But my main instruments are indices like GER30 and NSDQ100, a lot of currencies, commodities like oil or natgas, as well as stocks and some ETF’s. 2.) Goals profit wise on eToro or if you don’t have a goal, why? I always post my annual profit goal at the beginning of every year. If I remember correctly it was around 40% for 2016 (158.15% reached!), then around 20-30% for 2017 (20.5% reached), again 20-30% for 2018 but corrected to around 35% in the middle of the year (38.85% reached) and finally my goal for 2019 is to make 30-40% annual profit. 3.) Why you trade specific intruments? I think it’s important to be able to trade a variaty of instruments. This way it is easier to diversify your portfolio and it’s also easier to find good entry opportunities. For example when most of the stocks are to expensive at a certain time it may be a better option to focus on other instruments such as currencies or commodities. Recomendations: 1.) How much you recomment copying them with? You can copy me with whatever you have left. I know guys that copy me with 200-500$ and they never mentioned that they have problems with positions don‘t open correctly. 2.) How long you recommend copying them for? Since I’m a medium to long term trader I always recommend to copy my for at least 3 months to fully benefit from my strategy. I also just recognized that wasn’t in red for more then one month in a row since 2016, so copying for more then three months should give you at least some profits. 3.) Copy open trades? Yes please copy all my open trades too. Since every positions is part of my strategy I really recommend you to copy all of them. Also please don’t close trades by ourself. That could have negative effect on the profit. 4.) Not really a recommendation but maybe also important to know. I DON‘T give any trading advice. On the one hand, I can not guarantee that the instrument is really developing in the expected direction and, on the other hand, the trading of the instrument may require a special strategy, such as: Hedging positions, repurchase, etc. Relevant Links: 1.) Hello everyone, I just wanted to give you a little update again. With all our $NOKSEK and $USO positions hitting their take profit in the last few days, we currently have a greater amount of free capital, for which I'm looking for suitable entry opportunities. But at the moment I'm still waiting for new signals. Our KHC positions will start much lower today as a result of the unexpectedly poor numbers yesterday, but I expect at least a partial recovery later in the year. Since we bought them relatively cheap, we should reach the breakeven point quite quickly. With regard to our oil and oil linked positions, it will be of special interest if we will see an increase in the production volume in the US due to the increased courses, which should pull the price down again. However, a further recovery to $ 60 is quite possible with the current momentum and would boost our CADCHF and USDRUB positions. The general trend this month is quite satisfactory with a net gain of just over 1.25%. The risk score has dropped to 2 due to the relatively large amount of free capital, but in the long run I plan again with a score of 3. Fabian Marco ... Show More
