It is undeniable that in just a few years AI has become an incredibly important part of all of our lives. With this post I wanted to share with you some proper ways I actively use this technology to my benefit in the investing world.
๐ ๐๐จ ๐ง๐จ๐ญ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ ๐๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ค ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐ฆ๐, and I would not recommend anyone to use it for that purpose. I see it more as an ๐ข๐ง๐๐ซ๐๐๐ข๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ฌ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐๐ซ๐, but ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฌ ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฉ๐ฅ๐๐๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ง๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง. My investment inspiration comes from day-to-day life, past experiences, the books I am reading, financial news, interaction with friends and observations of the world around me.
Some of the areas I use and recommend AI:
๐ As a ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ง๐ผ๐ผ๐น: The first step to become a good investor is having a strong foundation. You have many learning sources online (Have you checked eToroโs academy btw?), but depending on your time, interests and personal situation, you could ask AI to create a more personalized system for you.
Bonus point. Learning without feedback is nothing, so donโt forget to add evaluations to your study program.
๐ As an ๐๐๐๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ๐ป๐: If you want to use AI for this purpose, make sure you always cross-check what is being said, and never just take its outputs at face value.
Sources are everything, and you should always request sources for any hard statements if not already provided. Moreover, you should check if these sources are actually valid. If your AI engine canโt provide adequate sources, I recommend providing the documentation and/or sources yourself. One time I asked it to check a prospectus of a company, and there were things it said that simply were not true (I know because I had the actual prospectus in my hands). So upload your own documents and then ask for a summary if that is what you have in mind.
๐ As a ๐ฆ๐ผ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ผ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ: This is where AI can really be fun and what I actually use it for the mostโฆ You can use AI as a way to dig deeper into the concepts or ideas you have in your mind.
In the screenshots you see in the image below, you will see an active example of how I used AI the other dayโฆ I was checking some notes from my Masters (I wish I had it back then) and wanted to dig deeper into some risk management concepts. AI worked as an incredible helper and allowed me to discover different nuances to my own thoughts.
