Not much has happened with crypto scene and prices are moving sideways in the big picture. Except $XRP lawsuit is finally looking that it is going to end. The CEO of Ripple declared in a video posted to X on wednesday, announcing the end of the Securities and Exchange Comission's (SEC) yearslong lawsuit against his company, the developer of the XRP Ledger and its native token.
Ripple will pay 50 million of the original 125 million fine, with the remainder returned from escrow. The SEC will ask the court to lift its injunction against Ripple as part of the resolution. The deal reflects a growing trend in Washington towars easing crypto enforcement and supporting digital asset innovation.
Now we are waiting the SEC's final and official statement about it.
After SEC makes official announcement that the lawsuit is really over, prices could see new highs I believe. Of course everything is not going to happen in one night but this year is going to be very interesting.
