[End of Oct Update] This month has seen a fair amount of whipsaw movement in the portfolio. At one point, we were up more than 14%, but by the end of the month, that gain had been trimmed back to just 6%. It’s been a similar story three times this year, where strong gains were followed by sharp pullbacks. After reflecting on this, I’ve realized that my take-profit strategy (TP) needs a revision. I’ve now developed a robust system for stock selection, but the exit strategy still feels a bit too reactive to market swings. Once I refine the TP approach to be more dynamic and aligned with market trends, I believe it will significantly smooth out the performance and help lock in more consistent returns.
