- 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗝𝗼𝗯 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗜𝘀 𝗗𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗱 - Yesterday, we received new data showing that the US labor market slowed down again, which isn't a great sign. So what is going on? Well, let's look into it! - 𝗔𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝟯𝟱.𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗝𝗼𝗯𝘀 𝗟𝗼𝘀𝘁 - Yesterday, we received data from ADP Research, which showed that the economy lost another 32,000 jobs, and the data for August was revised to show a loss of an additional 3,000 jobs. We can see that job creation is slowing down significantly, and there are even more job losses than gains. Quote: "Despite the strong economic growth we saw in the second quarter, this month's release further validates what we've been seeing in the labor market, that U.S. employers have been cautious with hiring." If we look at the big picture, we can see that jobs peaked in July 2025, and so far, we have lost a total of 35,000 jobs, according to ADP research. Overall, the drop was led by small to medium businesses, while bigger companies with more than 500 employees actually added jobs. However, overall, we can see that unemployment is increasing, people are clinging to their jobs, and employers are hesitant to hire new people in this business environment. Now, it seems that there are four main reasons why the job market is falling apart, and none of them will disappear anytime soon. 1. The restrictive monetary policy of the Fed. 2. The US population is aging and leaving the workforce. 3. Immigration is down due to Trump. 4. The current tariff war is creating a lot of chaos. All of these are affecting the economy, including the labor market, and by the looks of it, we are seeing a severe slowdown. Fortunately, we are well-prepared for a potential downturn, and I will continue to monitor the market and make adjustments as needed.
