𝐁𝐮𝐲𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐬?
Plus500 is continuing its share repurchase program started in February this year with high volumes to boost the shareholder return. Is it a good idea right now when the stock price is at all time high?
The stock has never been at these levels, why are they buying back right now?
We are just ahead of the half year results (will report on 19th of August) and there could be a sign of better results than the projections.
The company is trading at low multiples, no debt, when the trading activity is so high so it could be a good moment to buyback shares.
Even though they are working on more projects to expand their business, there is a surplus of capital that seems to be going towards these buybacks.
At this point and the current environment I will consider these buybacks a good thing, even if the stock price is at all time high.
