Hi everyone, as you all should be aware by now, today is the day for adding extra funds to my eToro account. The funds have now been deposited.
I added 16.7% additional funds, so for those looking to match the deposit exactly, this is how much you should add to your copy, I believe eToro should have sent a notification asking you to deposit the exact correct amount automatically.
Ideally you should deposit additional funds by the 3rd of May, but the 4th should also be fine - this will avoid unnecessary re-syncing if you are matching the same percentage as me.

As a copier you have 3 options when I add funds:

After a couple of days your portfolio will automatically re-sync to mine, closing positions if necessary and opening new ones. This isnโt the optimal option because you may incur some spread fees, but these are low and would only make a negligible difference to the full-year performance of the copy.
๐. ๐จ๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
If you add funds proportionate to my deposit within a couple of days of me doing it, your portfolio wonโt need to re-sync. This option is recommended, especially if your total copy amount is below the recommended minimum copy amount of $1000.

This option may result in some automatic portfolio resynchronization, but might be more appropriate if you want to be more aggressive and add more funds, or if you donโt have enough funds to copy with the full amount, but still want to increase your exposure to markets.
There are no bad options, but as mentioned, itโs worth double checking that your copy amount is at least $1000 because this is required to ensure you are able to copy all positions in the portfolio.

Somehow I'm only able to add the money AND synchronize. Earlier it was possible to just add the money WITHOUT synchronizing. Does anyone have a solution? Has eToro removed the possibility to do this?... Show More

I really appreciate how transparent and early you keep all copiers informed. The 16.7% extra funds is a clear figure, and the option to add proportionally by May 3-4 is definitely the cleanest way to avoid unnecessary re-syncs and spreads.
