𝗠𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝗧𝗼𝗿𝗼’𝘀 𝗣𝗼𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝘆𝗽𝗿𝘂𝘀 / 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝟮 Thanks for tuning in for the second part of my recap of eToro’s Popular Investor Summit in Cyprus last week 😊. As mentioned, this post will focus on the people. In my professional life working in Business Development, I have attended a lot of conferences, and I can say eToro’s summit had a very different vibe. At the end of the day, the people are the secret sauce of eToro and what really set this event apart was the time I got to spend with other Popular Investors. Here are some moments and people that made this event so special for me: 🔹 On Tuesday night, on my way back from the welcome drinks, I passed by @Gserdan and said hello. He could have just said hello back and leave it at that, but instead, he invited me to join him and eToro’s Product Development Lead, and we had a super productive and fun conversation. In other conferences, people don’t like “sharing” their interactions, but Guillaume did. I was very touched by this gesture, and it speaks volumes to the kind of person he is. 🔹 On Wednesday night, when I was awarded the Social Star medal ️🏅, one of the first people to congratulate me was @jaynemesis. Jay is a person I deeply admire, ever since my first day trading on eToro all those years ago. Not only is he very knowledgeable, but it is a pleasure talking with him about financial markets and our shared passion on energy markets. He is also a very warm and down-to-earth person. 🔹 The Spanish speaker’s community: We have bonded over our common language, views of life and crazy Latin/Hispanic energy. Going to the summit, many of us took the same plane and car and despite some logistic hiccups, we had a great time. From mere acquaintances last summit to true friends now, having this amazing community definitely made me more at ease during the conference. A big shout out to Cristia, Rayeiris, Carlos, Ricardo, Laura, David and Vlad! @CCalle, @Rayeiris, @carlosmartm, @NothingLikeIt, @Laurasr, @MercifulKnight, @Vladd35 🔹 I had the chance to talk to @JeppeKirkBonde and actually discover his passion for videogames. Something I love as well. It is a lot of fun to get to know the PIs not only for their work (we all know what a great investor Jeppe is) but also for their personal interests. 🔹 My fellow Colombian: @Bullishbearinc. Jorge is the kind of friend that always has your back, and one of my biggest supporters. He celebrated my birthday and reminded me why Colombians are considered some of the kindest people in the world. It is crazy that we went halfway across the world to hang out! 🔹 The best interviewer on the platform, @Nmendoza11. Nestor has this innate ability to create a safe space for anybody around him. He makes fantastic questions, and he has a contagious energy that you rarely ever encounter. I am very proud I was able to appear on his podcast a while ago! 🔹 On our last day, returning to Larnaca, I tagged along with Jorge and Adamos (@AdamosH). Adamos is a PI from Cyprus, and he truly embodies Cypriot hospitality and warmth. He invited us to meet his family and have lunch together. He gave us really good coffee (and this is coming from a Colombian 😅), let us try fresh and dried dates and gave us a private tour of the island. This was one of my favourite parts of the whole trip, the fact that he opened up the doors of his house really meant the world to me. 🔹 So many people made this summit the amazing event it was, but making a whole compilation would make it too long, so here are a couple of shoutouts 😊: @Nezatron, @rubymza, @CPHequities, @TheDividendFund, @Demtheo27, @Andrius1, @peterlavi, @Sir_H_Pennywise, @MaksikDarsik1902 and @JohnOstrowski It’s been a week now that the 2025 summit ended, and I still feel a tad jetlagged, but also amazingly pumped.
