I appreciate your patience while we investigated your case concerning the upcoming closure of your Russian DR positions. I can confirm that your Gazprom OAO-ADR, Lukoil OAO-ADR, NOVATEK OAO, Rosneft OAO, Severstal PAO, and Tatneft OAO-ADR positions will be closed next week. On 1 March 2022, in light of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, eToro ceased trading Russian DRs/CFDs across its platform. All Russian DR positions remain suspended on eToro. Due to the lack of liquidity for these instruments, we were unable to settle these positions. Initially, we refrained from closing positions due to uncertainty over the duration of the conflict. However, given the conflict's prolonged nature and the uncertainty about whether these positions will ever be tradable in the future, eToro has now decided to take corrective action to reverse the unsettled positions by closing them at their initial opening price. This means you will recover your invested amount and sustain no losses. This is permitted in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. 29.3 ‘’If we think, in our reasonable opinion, that an Exceptional Event has occurred or is occurring, we may make the following changes to your eToro account without telling you: 24 (c) close your open transactions at a price that we reasonably think is proportionate.’’ I understand that this news may be frustrating.
