In fact, stocks have climbed. Why? Because markets, unlike media narratives or political sentiment, are shaped by collective expectations β€” not individual beliefs. A recent FT piece reminded me of Keynes’ line: β€œWe devote our intelligences to anticipating what average opinion expects the average opinion to be.” Not what we think should happen β€” but what the crowd believes will. Even if you dislike a government’s agenda, the S&P 500 isn’t there to confirm your worldview. It’s there to price in reality. And right now, reality says: Big Tech is strong, profits are holding up, and political noise is just that β€” noise. If you’re investing based on how you wish the world worked, you’re not investing β€” you’re reacting. And that’s a dangerous place to be. Stay focused, stay flexible β€” and invest with your eyes open. $SPY (SPDR S&P 500 ETF) $SPX500 (SPX500 Index (Non Expiry)) $GLD (SPDR Gold) $GOLD (Gold (Non Expiry))
