If you've ever wondered why those annoying influencer posts by certain popular investors still keep showing up every day on your news feed even though you blocked these people and they are not part of any of your watchlists, I just got confirmation from etoro support that the block button does absolutely nothing to prevent content from blocked accounts getting shown to you.
That means right now there is no way for you to individualize your news feed, your home page will continue to be flooded with AI generated, meaningless nonsense posts under the pretext of "educating" people, while all they are really doing is spamming easy content to gain reach and new followers/ copiers.
For a platform that prides itsself on being a "social investment platform", the social media part of the platform is frustratingly bad. The few really insightful and interesting posts on here get completely drowned out by PIs flooding the news feed with their barely concealed advertisements and there is nothing you can do to stop seeing those posts.
In my opinion, if you block someone you should not see their posts anymore. That's how it works on every other social media platform, so why not on here.
