www.computerworld.com/article/4064116/a-european-alternative-to-m365-nextcloud-looks-to-capitalize-on-digital-sovereignty-interest.html Good news for companies who like self-customization, care for safety and want to host in Europe: The EU is funding an open-source SaaS (Software as a service, when an InfoCommunication software and server gets provided, customised, developed and maintained by a contractor company based on client requests) It's name is Nextcloud Workspace, it's being developed by Nextcloud, a Germany based company (not listed on stock-market) known for Nextcloud Hub. In my predictions this is a minor good news for the EU tech ETFs, but also for mid-sized businesses and gaming companies who want to host servers in the EU (nextcloud is also hosting servers, and will likely expand with this). Some benefiters might be: $esp0.de $EUSTX50 $SXXPIEX.DE (iShares STOXX Europe 600 UCITS ETF) and other global and EU IT ETFs It's bad news for mostly to $msft $META (Meta Platforms Inc) $GOOG (Alphabet) and minor bad news to some American and Chinese tech ETFs like $KWEB (KraneShares CSI China Internet) or $IYW (iShares US Technology ETF) $AAPL (Apple) could either end up as a winner or a loser from this, Nextcloud Workspace will be available on Apple too, but if apple will try to obstruct them they might lose customers, but if they allow them they might lose some subscribers from their own (not really popular) IC+SAAS platforms.
