Hi team!
I gonna try through this post to increase your skills, so that you understand how your brain works by default with an investment in losses VS an investment in gains.
.โ๏ธ This is a very important post.
.๐ก By default, without financial skills, a person will tend to let their losses run, without wanting to cut them, for fear of taking a loss.
.๐ก For latent gains, a person without financial skills will tend to cut their gains very quickly, for fear of returning to latent losses.
๐ So remember this:
.โ๏ธ You will never be profitable by accepting a high (even latent) loss while denying yourself high gains.
.โ๏ธ Without financial skills, and without having understood this, we all work the same way, that is to say in a losing way.
.โ๏ธ The worst (which I see very often) being to cut its positive investments to strengthen its investments largely in the red.
This is the worst thing to do, because you increase your risk on the reinforced asset, which in no way guarantees that it will one day return to its historic highs.
By doing so, you are strengthening a losing investment instead of strengthening a winning investment.
In other words, once at the bottom of the hole, you continue to dig.
.โ๏ธ So accept that you were wrong by closing your loss while it is small, while appreciating your investments that are in latent gains, or that are particularly more resilient than your other investment, as with this investment pocket.
๐ A bit of common sense
In reality, having a limited latent loss during a crisis, while remaining invested, and finally ending up with latent gains while the indices are still far from their highs is rather a sign of a "good investment", in all case that's what your "good" sense would tell you.
If you continue to operate "by default", i.e. in "losing" mode, the risk of loss is high, the hope of gain is low. You will understand, it is not profitable.
.โ๏ธ To be sustainably profitable, you have to do exactly the opposite, i.e. educate your brain to quickly cut your losses, and let your gains run.
.๐ด Final word
I therefore invite you to reflect on these last lines, and to have confidence in your investments and your associated traders, after having made your checks on their real skills.
I hope I have triggered some "snaps" among you, so that you give yourself the chance to go from "loser" to "profitable".
And congratulations to all those who have already understood this essential concept ๐
Excellent day to you;
Steeve
