Hi all, Yesterday, $META (Meta Platforms Inc) initially slipped 4% intraday following updates from Mark Zuckerberg, only to reverse violently and finish the session up 5%. While retail investors often panic during these intra-day swings, our thesis on Meta remains completely unchanged. This price action reflects the market beginning to appreciate a major structural shift in the AI landscape—one that directly benefits our portfolio allocation. Here is why we remain high-conviction holders of both $META and $MSFT (Microsoft): The Commodity Economics of AI: Our core structural view is that the cost of LLM tokens (the processing cost of AI inputs/outputs) will eventually drop toward zero due to intense, fierce competition among model creators. The Distribution Advantage: In an ecosystem where foundational models are commoditised, the ultimate winners are not the ones selling raw models. The winners are the tech giants with embedded distribution channels. Margin Expansion: Meta and Microsoft are uniquely positioned to pass these collapsing AI infrastructure costs down into their product lines, instantly boosting value for their massive customer bases while keeping internal operational costs highly optimized. The Strategy: Both companies remain absolute free-cash-flow engines. As their internal AI expenditures yield higher efficiency, we expect to see a strong acceleration in high-margin revenue over the coming quarters. We aren't holding tech to chase a speculative trend; we are holding it where the cash flow is tangible, defensive, and mispriced by short-term headline noise. I’ll keep monitoring the exposure closely. Drop your perspective or questions in the comments below. 👇
