Dear Investors, With another month gone, all eyes are on Jerome Powell's next move to see how the remaining three months of the year might pan out. With a 25 basis point cut almost certain, investors are now eyeing a half-point cut, which would push the markets higher. The issue here is that if the markets continue to creep up for the next week or so as investors bet on a 50bp cut. A 25bp cut would certainly cause a pullback, so this is something I will be keeping an eye on this week as I look to deploy the remaining cash. For now, here is the portfolio update for last month. 📅 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙡𝙮 𝙪𝙥𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙚: 𝘼𝙪𝙜𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝘾𝙪𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙨: 📈 August Return: 4.27% 📈 Year-to-Date (YTD) Return: 14.20% 📊 Copiers' Profitability: 99.66% 📈 2 Year Return: 181.44% (Correct at time of writing) 𝙋𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙛𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙤 𝙪𝙥𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙚: Nice steady gains this month with the portfolio gaining 4.27% ahead of the $SPX500 1.91%, and that's with holding around 10% cash and bonds in the portfolio. The returns were largely down to $ASML.NV (ASML Holding NV), AXP, and LEN, with Lennar leading the way in gains amid the high probability of the Fed cutting rates. As for changes to the portfolio, nothing major. A few increases in existing positions and a decrease in Micron technology – it's been a pretty quiet month.
