Evening. What I don’t understand about this platform is the PI ethos of holding assets during the turbulent times. Is it good risk management to hold assets in whatever circumstance. The stocks or indices are falling steeply due to a large number of investors closing positions but many PI posts on here are either this is normal or it’s a great time to buy. I don’t see many accounts with a hedge in place. There is a lot of data and technical methods to evaluate whether the market has bottomed. Anyone that’s enough from me, there are several good hedge options to choose from on etoro. $SQQQ$UVXY are favourites of mine, just frustrated that I didn’t leave them running today.

All of the top performing PIs on the platform over the past decade have done so with long only portfolios (eg Jeppe, Jay, MarianoPardo) and little to no hedging so it seems that yes it is optimal.

Technical analysis has been demonstrated not to work. That is not my saying it, its research. Someone places a hedge markets goes up like today and you are left without the upside. Perhaps that’s true, but it helps me and a huge proportion of the market. A healthy mix of fundamentals and technical is very helpful for me.
