Against all odds, the market finished on a positive note. Here's a small recap of our portfolio: $BRK.B (Berkshire Hathaway Inc) The company reached a $1 trillion market capitalization for the first time. Let's pop the corks for Warren Buffett's 94th birthday! $NU (Nu Holdings Ltd.) $CPNG (Coupang Inc.) $SMFG (Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group Inc-ADR) These companies reported very encouraging earnings, and I remain positive about their future. I took advantage of the turmoil in the Japanese market and added more shares of Sumitomo. $CDLX (Cardlytics Inc) If there's one thing that is 100% guaranteed for anyone conducting business in the market, it's that sooner or later, we all will eventually make a mistake. The company reported further losses in their operations, and their share price dropped by more than 50% in one day. On top of that, their CEO left the company after being responsible for wiping out millions in market valueβ€”a most unethical behavior. I had no choice but to sell on a loss. On a more positive note, our stake in Cardlytics made up only about 1% of the portfolio, so the loss won't hurt too much. Nevertheless, I apologize for this mistake. $STX.US (Seagate Technology PLC) I added this wonderful company to the portfolio. The need for reliable and innovative products for data storage will continue to be a fundamental element in future technological advances, and I believe Seagate is well-positioned in the market. I can't thank you enough for your continued trust and support! Have a wonderful September! AndrΓ©s
