Dear copiers,
What started as a great first half of the month with several days of significant outperformance vs the S&P turned into just another slightly profitable month. The reason behind losing this head start were the recent earnings reports that lead to $STLA.US (Stellantis NV) and $FLOW.NV (Flow Traders Cooperatief UA) crash around 20% each.
For Stellantis, the results are just a normal result of the current environment, but they are getting back to some very interesting prices.
Flow Traders dropped mostly because they stopped the dividend to focus on some investments, which - as they say - is the most efficient way of securing some capital. The other options were issuing expensive debt or shares, which wouldโve had a similar effect.
Below you can see an updated portfolio snapshot as of August 2.
๐ Portfolio updates:
โข Consolidated the position in $WBD (Warner Bros Discovery Inc) before it jumped a bit
โข Following the recent drops, up to 4 NEW stocks might be added to the portfolio in the near future. I am currently waiting for their earnings report before I take a decision
Overall - excluding the earnings drops - the portfolio performed well compared to the market, with several days in the green when the S&P was down 1-2%. September should be a very interesting month based on the Fedโs decision.
