What many people, especially less experienced investors, tend to do in situations like this is close their positions at a loss. With a long-term investing approach, this usually makes little sense. You are simply realizing losses caused by short-term, unexpected market moves, and the same mistake is often repeated the next time volatility appears.
This mindset is wrong. Don’t act like a trader. Act like an investor.
Periods like this should be understood as discounts, not as reasons to panic.
