Dear Followers, Dear Copiers, Unfortunately, the situation in March remained difficult. The conflict in the Middle East continues, and with it, the downward pressure on the markets. The portfolio declined by almost 5% during the month, although part of this loss was recovered in the first days of April. Overall, however, the trend remains negative. Throughout the month, markets reacted sensitively to statements from political leaders regarding the conflict. Yet, just as there has been no decisive shift in the geopolitical situation, there has also been no meaningful improvement in market sentiment so far. From an investor’s perspective, however, such conditions are relatively straightforward: lower prices create buying opportunities. Acting on this, I opened a position in $TSM (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co Ltd - ADR) on March 17th, which is currently at a small loss of just under 1%, and another position in $META (Meta Platforms Inc) on March 26th, which is already up over 3%. Both are strong companies whose operations may be affected by global tensions, but I do not believe their long-term value is fundamentally threatened. Market fluctuations also created opportunities to lock in profits. On March 25th, I closed my position in $AMD (Advanced Micro Devices Inc), securing a gain of just under 10%. When thinking about what comes next, it is hard not to draw comparisons to the market reaction following the outbreak of the Russia–Ukraine war. At that time, markets also declined sharply — in 2022, the portfolio dropped by more than 22%. However, this was followed by a strong recovery in 2023, when the portfolio gained over 44%, more than offsetting the losses, even though the conflict itself has still not been fully resolved to this day. Of course, the situation in the Middle East has its own specifics, but the market reaction so far appears quite similar. From an investment perspective, we can hope that, as before, a period of decline will eventually be followed by growth. From a human perspective, we can only hope that world leaders will find a way to resolve these conflicts and move toward peace — both in Ukraine and in the Middle East. So once again, we find ourselves in a familiar position: uncertainty in the present, but reasons for cautious optimism in the long term. I will continue to follow my strategy — staying disciplined, patient, and ready to act when opportunities arise. Best regards, Libor Vasa
