𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙄 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙡𝙚 👧, I grew up without many dreams of my own… But, if you asked me back then what I wanted to be when I grew up, my answer would have been: "𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘢 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘰𝘯 👩‍⚕️ 𝘴𝘰 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘭𝘰𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘺 💰, 𝘣𝘶𝘺 𝘢 𝘣𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘱𝘪𝘤𝘬-𝘶𝘱 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘬 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘢 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘶𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘶𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘮𝘺 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘮𝘢 👵 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢 𝘳𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘰𝘰𝘯𝘴." As you can see, my dream wasn't necessarily becoming a plastic surgeon (I actually ditched the idea altogether after having to dissect an animal in science class 😬). My real dream was to be able to take care of my grandma as she had to work super hard all of ther life to make ends meet. My beloved grandma died in October 2016. Only one year before I would join eToro. If I could go back in time, I would have told little Cata to dream a different dream. Instead of aiming to become a plastic surgeon I would have told myself to start investing as soon as possible, so I could use the benefits of compounding to the fullest. I would have said to myself that there are other awesome ways to take care of your family, to make your money work for you and to still do what you love. I miss my grandma 🙁 There are so many incredible stories I have with her that I will share with you in the future, but in the meantime, I wanted to share this little reflection with you. PS: I have finished my series of videos on Informal Recession Indicators, which I published on my Instagram. In the coming days I will share a post about it here as well. I appreciate all the DMs and comments you have send me!
