July was strong! After two months in the red (even if the losses weren’t significant), we closed out July on a strong note. We were boosted by the upswing in consumer stocks and strong rebound of Google and Microsoft! $MSFT (Microsoft) $GOOG (Alphabet) As a result, our portfolio is in positive territory for the year and has also nearly reached a new all-time high. Of course, I’d have liked to see a higher return at the end of July, but that’s just how it goes. Given the geopolitical situation, I’m satisfied. One thing we can always count on is our dividends. We received some nice ones in July, including one from Scotiabank, which has paid dividends without interruption for 193 years. August will bring more good dividends, with Procter & Gamble, Air Products, and Novo Nordisk’s interim dividend on the horizon. $PG (Procter & Gamble Co) $APD (Air Products & Chemicals Inc) $NVO (Novo-Nordisk A/S SPONS ADR) Earnings season still has a few weeks to go, but what we’ve seen from our stocks so far has been very strong. This week will be interesting with Novo Nordisk’s results. In my view, this latest setback is once again being blown out of proportion. It’s based on study results that Novo Nordisk had already described in advance as most likely to be weak. It’ll be interesting to see how sales of the pill turn out! $MA (Mastercard) $NFLX (Netflix, Inc.) Thank you for your trust, Fabian
