Another strong reaction to the US going hot in Iran. Tradable, but ultimately unimportant. This is the new normal, we're going to have to wait for the markets to catch up to that. I initially thought this might be a short affair myself when it kicked off in February. Then I read the US 2026 National Defence Strategy. I now understand that this is how things are likely to be for a long time to come, potentially decades, and the situation will become considerably more complicated. If you traded through Iraq and Afghanistan, as I did, you will recognise the pattern. For newer traders, and not advice of course, expect an extended period of increasing volatility that gradually becomes less significant as markets become accustomed to this being a drawn out affair. This is nothing new, and the future players of the market, AI, Energy and infrastructure, in my opinion, are even more assured. $SPX500 $NSDQ100
