𝗡𝗲𝘄𝘀 Houthi rebels from Yemen attacked Saudi ships in the Red Sea, threatening to limit another route important for oil exports from the Middle East. The Brent oil price got above $100 again. Trump posted that any damage caused by Houthis will be paid for using frozen Iranian funds, as the Houthis are aligned with the Iranian government, which supplies them with weapons. $NU (Nu Holdings Ltd.) acquired a Brazilian bank Banco Porto Real de Investimentos , to meet the new regulatory requirement for companies using the word “bank” in their name (NUbank subsidiary) to obtain a bank license. The management stated that the license will not increase the company’s capital or liquidity requirements. $RKLB was awarded a new $266 million contract by US Air Force for hypersonic missions from Alaska. It includes 12 suborbital launches and options for 6 more to be completed by 2028. The price per launch is significantly higher compared to other suborbital contracts. This is likely due to the launch site requirement. $RKLB will have to invest significantly into logistics and launch infrastructure to launch from Pacific Spaceport Complex, Alaska instead of their launch complex in Wallops Island, Virginia. The Air Force likely wants to use these launches to develop capabilities for the Golden Dome multi-layer national missile defense initiative and the shortest path for missiles from Russia to the US is over the Arctic. $ASTS (AST SpaceMobile Inc) moved its target of 45 satellites in orbit from 2026 to early 2027. This is likely due to Blue Origin's New Glenn rocket not being operational after the on the pad explosion earlier this year.$ASTS also announced successful deployment of the record-breaking antennas on all three recently launched Bluebird satellites. Unfolding and deployment of these world's largest sattelite antennas once again is a significant technical milestone and was deemed technically impossible by some industry experts.
