$BCS (Barclays PLC-ADR) earnings dissapointed:
Barclays reported second-quarter net profit attributable to shareholders of £1.2 billion ($1.54 billion), slightly lower than a year ago.
Analysts polled by Reuters had expected attributable net profit of £1.03 billion for the period, according to LSEG data.
