Every crypto cycle there is a speculative asset (2017 = ICOs, 2021 = NFT's)
These assets are hard to price and almost entirely speculation. But NFTs and ICO's still promised an underlying tech they had to deliver. Meme coins don't need to promise anything.
Also, NFTs were notoriously hard to buy and get into for retail investors. Meme coins are accessible for anyone and there are plenty of people who already had mad gains.
As the cycle kicks off and we enter a mania phase this is gonna get totally crazy.
