Dear copiers, followers and eToreans.
This week has seen the portfolio gain around +3.75%, bringing us back into the green at +4.00% YTD. In comparission the S&P500 has just tipped the green YTD at 0.30%.
It's been a really volatile market so far this year, and whilst we're not yet back to the highs of mid Feb, we are very close. I have been very cautious over the last 6 weeks or so (see my last post) – perhaps too cautious. However I stand by my decision to tread carefully, and maintain that it was better not to risk another 10% loss.
I have sold some higher risk positions this week at good profits – positions that were only ever intended to be held temporarily. I have also sold Tesla, but expect to buy some back at the next opportunity.
We still have lots of cash available in the portfolio, and I will continue to seek out opportunities.
