Portfolio Update Volatility, Income, and Staying Steady Another volatile week, but also a good example of why I structure the portfolio the way I do. Price action was intense, sentiment shifted quickly, yet overall damage remained controlled. Context & performance Month-to-date the portfolio is now -2.89%, with tech broadly underperforming. Growth names struggled again, and semiconductors stayed under pressure as expectations continue to reset. CPI data during the week was a good sign, even though there was no clear “all clear” signal for markets. What drove performance The weakest area remained technology, with most tech positions finishing the week flat after last week's drop. Crypto was also soft. This was one of those weeks where risk assets moved together, reminding us how correlated markets can become during macro-driven selloffs. What helped Once again, diversification and income did their job. While they don’t eliminate drawdowns, they help smooth the ride. This week we received fresh cash flow: $MAIN (Main Street Capital Corp.) : $0.26 / share $O (Realty Income Corp) : $0.27 / share $NEE (NextEra Energy Inc) $0.57 / share These monthly and quarterly dividends are an important part of how I think about compounding, especially when prices are going sideways or down. Income gives flexibility and reduces the pressure to “do something” during volatile weeks. How I’m positioned I didn’t make any reactive changes. My focus remains on: Managing risk rather than chasing rebounds Keeping exposure diversified across growth and income Letting dividends do part of the work while volatility plays out The portfolio finished the week relatively flat, which I see as a win in this environment. What I’m watching next Macro data will stay in the driver’s seat. Inflation prints, rate expectations, and how tech responds to them will matter more than individual headlines. If volatility persists, income and balance should continue to matter more than trying to time short-term moves. The goal is steady progress through different market regimes, not perfection every week. Volatile periods are uncomfortable, but they’re also where long-term discipline matters most. Thank you for all who follow. This is not investment advice. Everyone should do their own research. $SPX500 $NSDQ100 $BTC $XRP $AVGO (Broadcom Inc) $MSFT (Microsoft) $NVDA (NVIDIA Corporation)
