📉 BYD shares drop after Buffett exits stake BYD Co. shares fell 3.4%, marking their biggest decline in three weeks, after Berkshire Hathaway reportedly sold its entire stake in the Chinese EV giant. 👉 Buffett first invested in BYD back in 2008, purchasing 225 million shares. Since then, the stock surged more than +4,500% up to March 2024. The exit follows a gradual sell-down that started in 2022. ⚡️ In recent months, BYD shares have slipped about 30% from their all-time high, amid concerns over fierce competition and an ongoing price war in China’s EV market. 📌 BYD thanked Buffett and Munger for 17 years of support, noting that “buying and selling are normal practices in stock investing.” 👉 What do you think? Is Buffett’s move a red flag for China’s EV sector, or simply profit-taking after a long winning bet? $01211.HK (BYD Co Ltd) $BRK.B (Berkshire Hathaway Inc) $SPX500 $VOO (Vanguard S&P 500 ETF) $TSLA (Tesla Motors, Inc.) $NIO (Nio Inc.-ADR)
