Over the last weeks, I have been closely watching the performance of Airbus stock, which has shown a mix of resilience and volatility. While part of the recent price action reflects broader market uncertainty and profit-taking after a strong rally, I believe the defense segment deserves particular attention in this phase. Airbus is no longer just a civil aviation story. Rising geopolitical tensions, higher military spending across Europe, and renewed focus on strategic autonomy are structurally improving the outlook for its defense and space division. Programs related to military transport, satellites, and next-generation defense systems provide visibility and diversification that help offset the cyclicality of commercial aviation. In my view, this defense exposure is increasingly underappreciated by the market. While short-term noise remains, especially due to supply chain constraints and macro uncertainty, I remain confident that Airbus’s strong backlog and its positioning in European defense make the stock a solid long-term holding rather than a short-term trade. $AIR.PA (AIRBUS SE)
