I’ll keep it simple , just the key numbers and what happened after. 🔹Seagate Technology $STX.US (Seagate Technology PLC) Revenue: about $3.11B EPS: about $3.27 Result: Better than expected Future: Very positive (AI storage demand growing fast) Demand: Strong and improving Stock move: +16% after results 🔹Western Digital $WDC (Western Digital Corporation) Revenue: about $3.34B EPS: about $2.72 Result: Beat expectations Future: Slightly cautious (margins concern) Demand: Strong (AI data centers) Stock move: -7% (dropped despite good results) 👉 good results, but market didn’t like the future outlook 🔹Qualcomm $QCOM (Qualcomm Inc) Revenue: about $10.59B EPS: about $2.65 Result: Beat expectations Future: Strong (new AI/data center deal) Demand: Improving Stock move: +15% to +20% jump 🔹Amazon $AMZN (Amazon.com Inc) Revenue: about $181.52B EPS: about $2.78 Result: Beat expectations Future: Strong (AI + cloud demand growing) Demand: Strong Stock move: +2% 🔹Alphabet $GOOG (Alphabet) Revenue: about $109B EPS: about $5.11 Result: Strong beat Future: Very strong, but spending more on AI Demand: Very strong (ads + cloud) Stock move: +5% to +10% jump 🔹Microsoft $MSFT (Microsoft) Revenue: about $82.9B EPS: about $4.27 Result: Beat expectations Future: Strong, but spending a lot on AI Demand: Strong Stock move: -3% (dropped slightly) 👉 good results, but spending scared investors 🔹 Apple $AAPL (Apple) Revenue: about $111.2B EPS: about $2.01 Result: Beat expectations Future: Stable, slowly moving into AI Demand: Okay, steady Stock move: +3.6% 🔹 Meta Platforms $META (Meta Platforms Inc) Revenue: about $56B EPS: about $7.31 Result: Beat expectations Future: Spending a lot more on AI Demand: Strong (ads growing fast) Stock move: -8% to -9% drop 👉 strong business, but market worried about high spending 💡 Very simple takeaway: * Most companies **beat expectations** * Demand is **strong**, especially for AI and cloud * BUT… * Stocks don’t only move on results * They move on **future outlook and spending** 📊 Easy way to see it: Went UP ➡️Seagate, Qualcomm, Alphabet, Amazon, Apple Went DOWN ➡️Meta, Microsoft, Western Digital 👉 Why? * If future looks strong ➡️stock goes up * If spending too high or outlook uncertain ➡️stock drops This week clearly shows: Good results alone are not enough anymore.
