𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐲: Many people want to be rich quickly. It’s like playing the lottery. You play with hope, but you’ll probably end up worse than you were before playing. I learned over the years the opposite approach: I prefer to become rich slowly but with certainty. To do that, I put safety first. If you don’t lose money, every other option is good. Hence, I apply a very conservative approach to investing that has turned into a +19% yearly return for over 5 years. What’s the secret? Patience Patience to buy good businesses at a wide discount, taking advantage of volatility and the market’s foolishness. But also patience to wait until the market recognizes again the real value of our businesses.
