The escalation in the Middle East is putting everyone back into risk-off mode. Oil (WTI) is surging and moves back above $72, with marked intraday volatility. On the other side, indices are pulling back: Nikkei ~ -1.4% What stood out to me: Japanโ€™s PMI came in at 53, which means itโ€™s in expansion territory. And yet, the market is still down. Itโ€™s a simple reminder: When geopolitics gets involved, the short term is driven by emotion, not by the numbers. US futures are already in the red: Dow Jones ~ -1.1% S&P 500 ~ -1.1% Nasdaq (and especially the Nasdaq 100) is down more, ~ -1.4%. The real question isnโ€™t todayโ€™s candle. The real question is: Does oil stay sustainably above $70โ€“$75? If so, it could slow disinflation and delay rate cuts. As for me, nothing changes. I donโ€™t overreact to a news headline. Iโ€™m keeping cash, around 50%. Iโ€™m waiting for clean levels. ๐ŸŒฑ Thought of the day The market loves to test our composure. Discipline, on the other hand, depends only on us.
